Who are the Tech Coaches?
Educate Technology Coaches bring a variety of skills, experience and enthusiasm to our partner schools. Most of our Tech Coaches hold a Masters of Education degree and have a professional background in education and/or business. They all have classroom and teaching experience. This gives them insight and understanding into the daily reality of school life. Because Tech Coaches understand schools, administrators, teachers and students, they are able to build collaborative, peer relationships with the faculty. Educate Tech Coaches quickly become valued members of the school community.
Our Tech Coaches are experts in technology. They are proficient in the use of a broad range of technology tools including PC’s, laptops, interactive white boards, digital multimedia and more. They understand the challenges of using these tools in elementary education such as planning, structure, classroom management, safety and appropriate use of the technology. Educate recruits Tech Coaches who are technically proficient and excel in communication and collaboration skills. We also provide our Tech Coaches with extensive training, sharing of best practices across schools and resources such as software packages, thousands of pre selected web sites and the Educate library of technology based lesson plans.
